Lucien Dy Tioco is Philstar Media Group’s Executive Vice President who oversees the revenue, marketing and digital transformation strategies across all titles from its flagship The Philippine Star, Business World, Ang Pilipino Star Ngayon and The Freeman and other digital and social media platforms.
Dy Tioco is a Journalism graduate from the University of Santo Tomas and took his MBA in the University of Western Australia. He began his career in 1987 and worked his way up in the Star Group to his current post. Dy Tioco is responsible for Philstar Media Group’s successful transformation from print into a multimedia powerhouse that it is today.
He is an industry veteran, having served as an officer in the United Print Media Group, the Advertising Board of The Philippines, PANA , Advertising Screening Council and was President of the Philippine Marketing Association in 2020-21.
In 2016, he became a recipient of Agora Award in Marketing Communication and an Excel CEO awardee in Communications by IABC in the same year. In 2023, he was awarded as the Digital Marketer of the Year by the Asian Marketing Federation for spearheading PMG’s successful post pandemic pivot through its programs like The Philippine Star’s Nakakalocal and Business World Insights.
